It's REALLY Happening!!

OK, I know you can't see it, but there are TWO pink lines on that stick. That's right people, 2! I'm freakin' pregnant and I have never been so excited in my life.
After we found out last night, I bounced off the walls for hours and even woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep.
I just KNEW it, I think intuition is one of the best symptoms to go by.

So we cancelled our apt. with the infertility doctor for today, as we will no longer be needing her services and I made my first pre-natal doctor's apt. I also went on the computer and tried to guess about when it might have happened and it said I'll be due on Dec. 7th. Dec. 7th 2005 was one of the worst days of my life and Dec. 7th 2006 (well around there) is going to be the BEST! I can't believe it.

OK, for anyone who doesn't know, we've been trying to get pregnant for 17 months now, and I was beginning to fear it wasn't going to happen to me. But this is a true miracle and the answer to countless prayers! And one of my friends who was going through the same frustration, got pregnant just 3 weeks before, so we get to go through it together.

I can't wait to go maternity clothes shopping with Tina and baby stuff shopping with my Mom!!

Yay, and thank the LORD. :)

Of Bloodhounds and Bathrooms

Thomas had been working his little butt off on getting our house finished. Right now the project is our main bathroom, and as we've spent WAY too much money on it already, I'm happy to say it's almost done.
The sink just needs to be grouted and.. well... have a sink. But the shower is done and already broken in by Thomas's buddy Tom who's been staying with us this weekend.
Luckily Thomas likes what he does, when I look around this house and think of all the work that's gone into it in the past 3 years, I get tired!

In other news Woodrow got his ear tore up by Fitz the cat, and then got an infection. Every time he'd shake his head, there was pretty much blood all over the hound and my house. So we decided to try and stop the bleeding we'd wrap his head, but this didn't work. In the end Thomas put 2 socks over his ear and duct taped the whole thing to his head. It stopped the bleeding and we all slept peacefully. I don't think Woodrow minds that he's bald on the back of his ear now.

I'm going to put my blue toes by the fire now. Here's hoping spring arrives some day! :)

I'm with Gabbie

My dog is still in bed and I think she's got the right idea. It's raining again, (I think it's NOT rained 4 days this month), it's Tuesday and I'm getting ready to go to work, so I'd much rather be doing what Gabbie's doing.
Yesterday one of Cotati's crazy men, who is a regular, came in and asked if someone had indeed asked me to marry him. He asked, "You know how I know?" I guessed, "uhhhh, you saw my ring." He says, "No, I was going to ask you to marry me, but then I saw your ring." So I think he's told every girl in the bank that he would like to marry them.
At least Thursady I don't have to be at work all day. Thomas and I have a Dr.'s appt, so I get to leave work early either way. Woo Hoo! I also found out that we will NOT be going to court that day, so we don't have to worry about it intefering with the apt. I'm so happy!
Well, I'm just staring this blog and I'll have to mess around with it for a bit to get it right. Maybe Thomas would like to add his 2 cents every once in awhile, that'd be fun. :)
I recommend, if you haven't already, to try the Western Boot in Healdsburg, really good food, and less expensive than Cattlemans. Very yummy.
